Nordberg Movement is an agency for the performing arts in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on dance. Our services include representation, development, production, coaching, consulting and strategic planning.<\/p>\n

Founded by Magnus Nordberg in 2011, Nordberg Movement operates out of its office at Sveav\u00e4gen 140 in Stockholm, Sweden. Nordberg Movement supports the ongoing development of new and established voices in dance and choreography. We connect new and finished works and projects with collaborators, presenters and festivals. We offer offer guidance, support and infrastructure for companies, independent artists, constellations and festivals. Our activities include daily work for a curated and select roster of artists, plus an array of industry-oriented initiatives.<\/p>\n

\n– National and international representation and distribution
\n– Project management for new work and touring management

\n– Teaching and classes in various forms, for festivals, institutions, and artists-led organizations
\n– An ongoing presence in national and international forums, pushing dance and choreography to the forefront of discussions and topics
\n– Participation in various international networks, including board member participation
\n– Ongoing analysis and guidance regarding funding systems on, aligning the agenda to fit the overall scene and its needs<\/p>\n

For artists and makers<\/strong>
\nWe offer the possibility of introductory coaching if you wish to collaborate with us and do not know the office or our team yet. This introduction allows both parties to get to know each other before possibly delving into a longer relationship. Details and contents are discussed in a one-hour start-up meeting. \nHistory\n<\/div>

Nordberg Movement was founded in 2011 with a drive to accommodate the needs of production, representation, and daily operations for a smaller group of artists. During the course of the company, we\u2019ve had the privilege of collaborating with a vast group of producers, artists, companies, and venues.<\/p>\n

On the artist side, our earlier collaborations have included Andersson Dance\/choreographer \u00d6rjan Andersson (2011-2022), Elle Sofe Sara (2022-2024), Shake it Collaborations (2017-2022), Convoi Exceptionnel (2021-2023), Weld and Weld Company (2011-2020), Quarto (2017-2022) and Hagar Malin Hellkvist Sell\u00e9n (2011-2017).<\/p>\n

\nSkolan i r\u00f6relse 2024 \u2013 School in Movement
\nA project aiming at a first look at developing methods for working creatively with dance and choreography in school for the ages of 13-17, funded by the Swedish Arts Council\/Kulturr\u00e5det.<\/p>\n

Music and Movement Management<\/em>
\nOur project \u201cMusic and Movement Management” encompasses 17 unique artists (concluded on June 30, 2023). The 2-year project offered us the possibility to engage and work with Ann Ros\u00e9n, Maria W Horn, Daniel Karlsson, Jukka Rintam\u00e4ki, Aurelia Dey, Sindri Runudde, Maria Naidu, Joanna Holewa Chrona, BamBam Frost, Johanssons Pelargoner & Dans, Axel \u201cJaded Jane\u201d Olsson, Lisa Ull\u00e9n, VAZ, Mari Carrasco, OR\/ELLER, Robin Jonsson, and Anna \u00d6berg.<\/p>\n

I R\u00f6relse<\/em>
\n2020-2023, the office was leading the project \u201cI R\u00f6relse\u201d, which focused on education and coaching for the independent dance field. A podcast, \u201cEtt steg fram\u201d, found here<\/a>, with six episodes, was created during the project.<\/p>\n

Showcases in the US and Canada<\/em>
\nCollaborations include: \u201cIn the Works\u201d, with Meredith Boggia Productions at La MaMa in New York, presentations at The Chocolate Factory, New York, and a four-part collaboration with showcases during OFF-CINARS in Montr\u00e9al with Studio Flak (CA), Nordberg Movement, Illimit\u00e9 Agency (SE), Art Circulation (CA), and F\u00d4VE diffusion (CA) 2022.<\/p>\n
